These days I have been listening to the new album of Joey Pearson -- Authentic . The songs in it are really nice -- with cool vibe and great lyrics and of course the voice of Joey. something more -- he looks like a friend of mine I met while attending high school in the US.

I have almost all albums released by him with one exception -- Mirror Image from 2004 -- but will make sure to get it in the near future. Meanwhile I can say that my favorite album is his most recent one -- and if I have to choose a favorite song it could be either I wish because of the lyrics or When you believe because of the song itself and the really cool video clip that goes with it( My neighbors will not talk with me anymore because of me singing When you believe over and over -- and with the headphones on -- sometimes it is hard to pay attention of how loud I am singing) .

The official web page does not provide much information about Joey , so I had to look some other sites . There is a good article about him in Wikipedia -- from where I learned that he is currently influenced by singers such as John Legend, and Elton John which I guess is why his music sound so appealing to me having in mind that I deeply respect those performers. His page at BCSD does not provide much info as well -- but it is good to see that he is present there too. And also there is an interview with him in which he said :

I say this alot, but, don’t give up. That’s my shout out, don’t give up.

From all sites I saw about him . As for myself I will try to compelete his discography in my personal collection and for sure will keep enjoung his songs. The sould and R&B motives are really suitable for him , making his music modern and appealing to various people -- kids and adults.

I had the chance to hear some songs in which he sings with his dad -- and oh they are both very talented and Joey plays on the keyboard pretty well -- hear for yourself . For some reason and my friends confirmed that Joey seems to be more popular in Europe and Asia than in the States -- this could be due to the fact that the US market is oversaturated. Another reason I can think of is that most sites devoted to young performers are not based in the US -- some are evern unknown there.
