i wrote the song, and i dont mind if you think the lyrics are mawkish and amateur, everyone has a right to an opinion.

all i can say is that i wrote them over 4 weeks, while watching videos of these homeless,
and the lyrics reflect only the truth. `i did not want them to be clever or flowery ..

Thank you. I did say "I find the lyrics..." meaning it was **my opinion** only. You have likely written other songs that I would enjoy more. I give you credit for having Troye Sivan perform the piece (or if he chose the piece from you... whichever it was). He is a talented young man who can express sincerity through his voice. It sounds like that was a goal of yours.

I agree his great singer and the lyrics of the song reflect the cruel reality of many children around the world a reality that i hope someday changes. So if you can, and I'm sure, that if you are reading this you can,.. find an organization to help and become a part of the change.

I personally like the lyrics of Troye Sivan in the song For Them. Truth is I have seen much more bizarre lyrics such as the one of the winners of this year`s junior euro vision contest .

Troye has a very nice voice and is, indeed, quite talented, but I find the lyrics of this song mawkish and amateur. I know Troye didn't write them and that it's "for a cause," but that doesn't make it any better.

On my part I like the lyrics - or the manner in which Troye sings them . I guess he has some vocal coaching for this song . The song reminds me "Tell me why" performed by Declan Galbraith
