Billy Elliot Dances Around the World West End United States the US National Tour South Korea Seoul Canada Broadway Billy Elliot the Musical Billy Elliot author Billy Elliot the Musical is currently wowing audiences on the West End of London and on tour around the United States and Canada.  Soon to celebrate its 7th birthday in London on May 12, 2012, which is the site of the show’s original production, and for over three years on Broadway before its close there in January of 2012,  the Elton John/Lee Hall show has been seen in venues around the world.

Initially, the show was done in only English speaking countries.  But when a production of the show opened in Seoul, South Korea on August 10, 2010 a new milestone had been reached — the first time a BETM production had been mounted in a place where English wasn’t the primary language.  And in the future,  there are plans for the show being done in many other languages as well, as you can see from the charts below.

In this article, we’ve compiled information on all past, current and announced future productions of the popular musical so the reader will have an at-a-glance place to view all production information.  Please note that start dates in some locations include previews.

The Denver dates are May 11 -- June 5th, this is confirmed by the Denver Center box office.

      • Porschesrule says:

Gpcolo, Thanks for your comment. Based on the information you’ve given, I’m going to go ahead and change the dates on the chart for the Denver Tour stop. Thanks for providing it. I agree that the official dates for Denver are as you indicated. However, when I recently checked, if you click on the button to purchase tickets at the Denver ticket site, they are not offering tickets for sale (at least online) beyond May 29th. I figured maybe they were taking a "wait and see" attitude to see how tickets sales go at the beginning of the run there before extending another week.

        • Gpcolo says:

Hi Porschrule! Thanks for your response. The 4th week is indeed on in Denver though they currently are only selling those tickets to subscribers. I already have tickets for June 2nd and the 5th. They are going to open up those dates to everyone about 4 weeks before the start of the run. I will let you know when that actually occurs. The B.E. web site does list the correct dates. (Also thanks for your time and energy on this site- very well done and comprehensive. You are very talented in your own right!)
