Cast Information
In our continuing quest, here at theskykid.com, to make this site THE place to visit for information on Billy Elliot the Musical, we’ve decided to maintain historical performance information. This decision was made when changes to another website indicated performance data may be lost in the future. To assure that it won’t be, we’ve decided to capture it here.
Utilizing a series of charts, page one of this article captures basic performance information for the shows currently in production in London and the US National Tour. It provides the information in an at-a-glance view, for each of the main roles in the show, as well as the Ballet Girls and the Ensemble. The second page contains data on the past productions in Australia, Korea, Chicago/Toronto and Broadway.
Information for this article was gleaned from a variety of sources, including Billy Elliot the Forum, the Friends of Billy Elliot Forum, Wikipedia, the cast section of Gregory Jbara’s website and the official websites of the various Billy Elliot the Musical productions.

Keeping up with all the movable parts of my BETM articles is often daunting and I appreciate another pair of eyes looking at things and helping me stay up to date. You aren’t available full-time to do that are you? :p
The updates for adding Jack’s start date and removing Maria May from the Ensemble listing have been made. As indicated on the US Tour Ballet Girls chart, Samantha is shown as “Original Cast” and will thus remain on that chart. Her last performance date in that role is (and has been) listed as 21-Aug-2011. With regard to a small swing for the Tour BG cast, I’ve no indication at this point how they are going to handle the swing roles as no cast has been officially announced at this point. When that becomes clearer, I’ll update the chart. Dean Charles Chapman remains “Current Cast” until his last performance has actually taken place and then that date will be added.

hey also I am looking on broadway ensemble here are some people i see as cast but idk what they play all I know is they are in ensemble and they aren’t on list. Laura Marie Duncan, Stephen Hanna, Ian Liberto, Nicholas Sipes, Katrina Yaukey. Also some of them aren’t a ensemble. Also idk if you want to add this to ensemble or not, but Thommie Ratter who does play as Mr. Braithwaite is also listed as a ensemble on the broadway site.
Actors Equity has specific rules with regard to how actors are listed in programs and on official show websites. While technically people like Laura Marie Duncan, Stephen Hanna and Thommie Retter have a named role (Dead Mum, Older Billy, Mr. Braithwaite) AND are also members of the ensemble for other numbers in the show, I’ve opted not to list them twice. If they have a named role in the program, that’s where they are listed on the charts.

As I said at the beginning of the article, my idea for this article grew out of the concern that this data, which has been captured in various places on the net, could conceiveably be lost for all time. This assures that it won't (unless skykid pulls the plug on the site :p ) A new set of charts for the Ballet Girls has been added and I'm working on other Ensemble information. As it is, some early data from the London show is no longer available for the Ensemble. Will also be adding the information I have for the Australian production in the not too distant future. And, yes, Oliver Twist, I will be adding the information for the 2nd North American tour once it becomes available.
