In the begining of 2013, RJ Mendera wrote an article introducing Mike Singer, a young performer from Offenburg, Germany. A year later, Mike has shown some noteworthy development: his English has improved and the same goes for his singing aptitudes. Of course, as RJ pointed out, Mike has the support of an immensely talented producer, song-writer and promoter: Vichy Ratey (a former member of the Vienna Boys Choir with over 20 years of experience as a youth and social worker1).
Vichy Rachey makes sure that all of Mike Singer’s songs deliver a message or just make one want to dance to the beat. Mike’s video clips are always distinct, professionally shot and one can clearly see that the young performer is really enjoying himself. These are some of the reasons why, for the whole of 2013, Mike’s music has always been included on my playlists – and I can admit I am a real fan.
In a year (and after the end of his contractual obligations with The Voice Kids), Mike’s YouTube account has featured 27 clips – including live performances, covers, and original songs. Picking a favorite is a daunting task. Yet, after watching his latest clip of the song People, People (original by Tommy Bolin), I couldn’t resist featuring it on theSkyKid.com:

Since I didn’t follow the German edition of The Voice Kids, I was so nervous while watching that battle. I was thinking he’s going to keep going, no, is olivia, no is Chelsea, no is him.
Anyway, he has a great voice.

nice follow up–we know that when we click on a Mike Singer video there will be something cool optically and musically. I do wonder which direction this journey will take;if,for example,Mike will continue to record and make appearances,or if maybe he will be discovered by some TV channel for a series role or maybe a movie.
